2024 Clark County Farm Bureau Scholarship

The Clark Country Farm Bureau scholarship is to provide financial assistance for a student who plans to further their education in either career tech/vocational program or a 2 year, or 4 year college. Parents or guardians must be a member of the INFB. There will be two scholarships available each for $1,000. Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline to apply is May 1, 2024. 

Silver Creek Scholarships are now available including the Shirley Irby Memorial, Richard Mattox, Orrin Weber, Mildred Werle and Marcia Werle Schiller,Helen Humphrey, Evelyn Heiligenberg, Ethan Bennett, Dr. John Huff & Evelyn Dean Huff are available in the counseling office. Those are all due back to the counseling office March 1st.  Stop by to pick up the applications. 

The Kayde Sue Foundation Annual Scholarship 

The Kayde Sue Foundation Scholarship will be given to a graduating senior who has made an impact/change in the lives of others, their own personal life, their community or anything that is important to them. Applications must be submitted by April 1st. Applications are available in the counseling office. 

 

 

The Indiana Knights of Pythias Educational Assistance Program 

The Indiana Knights of Pythias Education Assistance Program provides and offers Pythias, their children, and their spouses and High School Seniors from the public educational assistance as well as an annual $1,000 Scholarship. The Clark County Recycling District (CCRD) 2024 Sustainability Scholarship is now open to senior high school students in Clark County, IN.  The scholarship details and application are attached.  WestRock is our partner, contributing $1,000 to this scholarship program.  WestRock is the recycling processor and distributor to manufacturers for the Clark County recycling program.  Application deadline:  Feb. 23, 2024.  We encourage students to complete their videos while warm weather is somewhat present in the area! The funds are made possible through Clark County residents bringing scrap metal and aluminum cans to the CCRD main office for recycling. Students will use their creative skills in producing a recycling video (maximum of 35 seconds) for release on social media to encourage recycling in Clark County.  

The 2024 CCRD scholarship awards are as follows:

Best Video:  $5,000

Runner Up:  $3,000

3 Contender Awards:  $1,000 each

Total: $11,000 in scholarships

Martin Luther King, JR Scholarship 

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Program is designed and managed by the Jeffersonville/Clark
County Holiday Celebration Committee. The MLK Holiday Celebration Committee seeks to
encourage community service, personal responsibility and educational achievement among the
citizenry of Clark County. You do not need any special qualifications to enter. You just need to be
good at being yourself and have a real desire to succeed. Awards are granted without regard to race,
color, creed, religion, disability, or national origin. Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline to apply is November 30, 2023 Submissions must be sent via email. 

Indiana University Wells Scholarship 

Indiana University Wells Scholarship uses nomination rather than the application process for their selection of scholars. Silver Creek will nominate two students for this scholarship. The Wells Scholars Program guarantees the full cost of attendance for a period of eight semesters of undergraduate study at Indiana University Bloomington. You must apply to IU Bloomington by November 1st. Students need to pick up their interest forms in the counseling office. The deadline to have to interest forms returned to the counseling office is September 11th at 2:30. 

Daughters of the American Revolution

The Daughters of the American Revolution Celebrate Stars & Stripes Forever with a Patriots of the American Revolution High School Essay Contest. The Contest is open to all students grade 9-12. If you are interested please pick up a packet in the counseling office. Essays are due to the DAR local chapter by October 27, 2023 

HEISMAN HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP 2023 

The 2023 Heisman HS Scholarship is now open! The Heisman Trophy Trust will award $128,000 in scholarships to the nation's most accomplished and community-minded male and female senior scholar-athletes. Winners from SCHS will compete for 100  state scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Students may be referred by the school or they can apply at heismanscholarship.com  Deadline to apply is October 17, 2023. 

BBB Trust Scholarship 

The Better Business Bureau Consumer Education Fund sponsors a the BBB Trust Scholarship. This is open to all students grade 9-12. There are four categories for submission: video, graphic design, visual art and essay. Submissions must be sent before 10/31/2023 by 4:30pm. Community Foundation of Southern Indiana 

The Community Foundation of Souther Indiana Scholarship program has dozens of scholarships available including the Lily Endowment Community Scholarship. Their applications are now open (Monday, August 14th, 2023). You can apply for their many scholarships online at https://www.cfsouthernindiana.com/scholarships/ Deadline to apply is September 18, 2023.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation: 

Each year the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school student across the United States. Fill out the online application here https://webportalapp.com/sp/login/ccsf. Students need to have a 3.0 GOA or higher. The deadline to complete the required eligibility quiz is 4 pm Eastern on Monday, October 2, 2023.
