It is my honor to serve as Principal of Silver Creek High School. The 22-23 school year will bring many challenges and I am looking forward to meeting those challenges along with the rest of our faculty and staff that are dedicated to provide the best possible education for every student enrolled at Silver Creek High School.
Silver Creek has a long and successful history of preparing students for whatever comes next after high school. Our mission statement, “real skills for real life” is indicative of our dedication to prepare students for the workplace, trade or vocational training, military or college. We also place heavy emphasis on cooperation, attitude, persistence, attendance, and involvement in school activities.
This year begins my 36th year in education and I’ve been at Silver Creek School Corporation/West Clark for the last 32 years. My experience includes 19 years as a math and computer teacher, 10 years as an Assistant Principal, and 9 years as a building principal. I am a 1983 graduate of SCHS and have always been proud to be a Dragon!
One goal we have this year is to improve communication with families. We are updating and adding information to our website, creating a school Facebook page, creating a monthly newsletter, and starting a PTO. The daily announcements will be posted both in Infinite Campus and our Facebook page. I encourage you to get involved in our school community.
We do ask for patience and support during this school year. Construction will be our companion for the next three years and it will mean constant adjustments. We are very excited about the plans for the high school knowing that our school and community have waited many years for these improvements.
Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns.
